Be a Part of the Art

Everyone can be a part of the art!

The arts bring us joy, they help us express ourselves and imagine our life experiences in unique ways. The arts also bridge cultural gaps bringing communities and regions together for the greater good. When you support your local arts and culture, you add value to your life and to the life of your community.

How Creative Placemaking Works

Let’s do something exciting in South Pittsburg, TN.

Theaster Gates is a potter whose ambitions stretch far beyond the wheel and the kiln. In Chicago, his leadership of artist-led spaces has catalyzed interest and excitement in a formerly neglected neighborhood, as he uses culture as a transformational weapon.

Hear Theaster explain how creative placemaking can revitalize a community. We’re doing the same thing right here in South Pittsburg, TN.

A Place People Will Visit

Arts districts have proven to be excellent economic development tools for many cities, particularly when combined with urban rejuvenation efforts, like repurposing vacant factory buildings or renewing blighted neighborhoods.
