PEER GROUP ART CRITIQUE
You may attend as an art lover/participant without presenting art. If you plan to present your art please register. If you do not plan to show your art you do not need to register. Suggested $10 donation for all who attend.

The constructive art critiques offered other artists and participants will strengthen the artist’s creative endeavors in the most positive way. As you can see from the critique form, this is meant to be an uplifting process providing viewpoint to help the artist expand their skills.

Focus:

1. Moderator with facilitate as follows 1-1/2 hours session to include the following
2. Artist presentation – 2 minutes
3. Peer Critique – 5 minutes – anonymous simple written critiques provided by peer group for each artist (no required) (see form)
4. Limited to 8 Artists with 1 work each (must register)
5. Social time 30 to 60 minutes follow critique session

Any critique can be a unique, learning opportunity. Each person involved will have their own insight into an artist’s practice, which can lead to an endless amount of new concepts to handy techniques that will help educate everyone involved. At the end of a session, everyone will be left feeling inspired to dig even deeper into their own creative practice.

If you truly cannot afford these classes, we may be able to help on a limited. Please ask us confidentially about reduced rates. If you can pay more, please do. It will help others less fortunate experience the joy of creativity and support Arts in the Burg. Ask about making a donation.

Age

This class is structured for adults but open to all ages. YOU MUST BE 13 years old or older to attend the class without an adult present. The chaperoning adult doesn’t not require a ticket purchase provided they do not participate the class.
